About Me

Hi, I'm Nick, a lead UX and digital product designer with over 20 years of designing experiences for SaaS, product and agency teams.

Most recently I led UX and product design at BlueRush, owning the design of IndiVideo, a personalized video platform along with client-based projects for mostly financial services clients like CIBC and TD Bank US. What I love most is taking complicated stuff and making it simple and cleanly designed, so people feel capable, not confused.

When I'm not designing or spending time with my wife and son (I can't believe he's 6 now!), I enjoy exploring our hometown of Hamilton or city walking in Toronto. Photography, gaming, and movies are big hobbies, and I'm a big football fan, supporting Toronto FC and the other "reds," Liverpool. I love the teamwork, creativity, and strategy behind the sport, and feel like it mirrors my work life.

If you're looking for a designer who brings a mix of fun, creativity, collaboration, and a passion for great design and experiences, let's connect!

How I work

Two decades in, I'm comfortable owning a product end to end, not just one slice of it. Across SaaS, banking, and brand, the work comes down to the same thing: making something complicated feel usable, so people come away capable, not confused.
